  • Third Party Verification Authority (TPVA) for the Goliat project in Norway Print Page Tell Friend

    Bureau Veritas Norway has been awarded by ENI Norway a Third Party Verification Authority (TPVA) contract for the Goliat field development project in Norway.  

    As the TPVA contractor Bureau Veritas shall cover

    - the Verification Services for the FPSO* (Sevan design),

    - the Subsea production Systems,

    - Flowlines and Risers and the electrification cable from land to the FPSO.


    The duration of the contract is planned until 2014.


    The Goliat field is located in the Barents Sea in Northern Norway. The licensees are:

    - Eni Norge AS (Operator) 65%,

    - Statoil Petroleum AS 35%.

    Production platform FPSO

    Eni Norge AS and the partner Statoil, have selected the Sevan Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) 1000 concept for the Goliat development project. The Sevan 1000 is capable of handling the harsh demands in the Barents Sea. The platform design will lead to new principles for winterization and to accommodate for expected environmental conditions in the Barents Sea. The FPSO will be manufactured at Hyundai Heavy Industries in Korea.

    Subsea Production Systems
    The equipment to be provided by Aker Subsea includes eight integrated subsea template structures that will be outfitted with 22 wellhead and production tree systems, control umbilicals, riser bases and work over systems.

    Flowlines / risers / installation
    Technip Norge AS is selected for execution of all activities connected with the supply and installation of the flowlines and riser systems on the Goliat field.
